I love this name. Sadly I cannot use it.

It's really nice! It sounds cute, sorta reminds me of Camryn but not nearly as popular. Definitely a great name, no one else would have it but it's not as if it's weird.

I love it! ;oDOf course, I'm a bit partial to it. I'd love to have a DD named Cambria, but there's no way I'd be able to convince DH...I had a hard enough time convincing him to go with Victoria instead of Kayla!

Well, though I sort of like Cambria in the abstract, there are problems with its pronunciation. Though the original pronunciation was CAM-bree-uh, as stated on this site, there are several places with this name in the USA that are pronounced CAME-bree-uh, first syllable as the word "came", and so that's going to confuse at lot of Americans as to the pronunciation.

On the other hand, many younger people will associate the name with the band Coheed and Cambria ("A Favor House Atlantic," among others), who use the original pronunciation of the name. So assuming that Cassandra has some years before she has a child, her peers might pronounce it right on the first try.I'm not a big fan of the name, but my opinion of it has definitely improved since we've had our own Cambria lurking around BtN. :)Array
