[Opinions] Mnemosyne
Wdyt of Mnemosyne? It's been on my personal name list for a while for some reason but never really gave it much thought until lately. If I used it as a fn, Mneme is a possibe nn, but I'm not sure if I'd rather it in the first or middle name spot since it's pretty "out there". Any suggestions for first or middle names for Mnemosyne? Thanks in advance. :D

It would be pronounced and spelled wrong ALL the time!
Also, it looks like Mnemonic.

I've thought about itI like the sound of it, and there's something fun about Moz as a nickname. The only real problem, I should think, will be people leaving off the first M; even if you're not bad on Ancient Greek spelling the MN- isn't obvious.I think you need a short MN with it. Mnemosyne Belle

I wouldn't use it as a fn because I don't know anyone who'd know how to pronounce it or spell it! and it's a long name to spell out. But it'd be really cool as a mn. From your name list, these would make the best fns for it:
CAROLINE, CHARLOTTE, EUDORA, GEORGIA, HARRIET, INDIRA, JUDITH, KATHARINE, LILITH, LUANA, LYDIA, LYRA, NINA, NORAH, OLIVIA, PETRA, SARAH, VANESSA, VIRGINIA, WINONA

Petra Mnemosyne would be cool, wouldn't it? Thanks, these are great suggestions. :)

A gal after my own heartI adore this name, but I'm sure that's not a surprise at all. I do worry that for prn and spelling and general "out there-ness" that it would be better as a MN, but go for it!I prefer it with simpler things. I'm listing it as a MN, but I think these combos would all work with the Mnemosyne as the FN.Themis Mnemosyne
Adelle Mnemosyne
June Mnemosyne
Viola / Violet Mnemosyne
Clare Mnemosyne

:DYeah, I think I'm leaning toward it as a mn. Perhaps I could use Mneme as a fn...?June Mnemosyne is darling. So is Rhea Mnemosyne. Thanks so much! :)

Well, if you ever planned to name your child that, here's a word of advice:Give them a name that they will know how to spell when they are four years old.It is a gorgeous name, but it's just something that no one would be able to pronounce unless being corrected. I even had to go an see HOW it was pronounced. Although, it's too noble to be a middle name.Possible middle names should be simple, yet elegant. As in Marie (which goes with basically anything), Ana, Lynn (This is the ugliest middle name imo), and so on.
