[Opinions] Aarika?
I know a woman named Megan (not sure about the spelling, but anyway) who has a sister named Aarika (Erica). What do you think of this spelling? Also, I forget if I posted about this before... Oh well.

Megan and Aarika is an interesting combo. I can't say I hate Aarika; to me, it's better than Erika.

Eeek, but that could just be because I don't like Erica either.

Aarika is too complicated and tryndee looking for my liking.

If you want to name your child Erica, just name her Erica.
The first picture that comes to mind for Aarika is a parrot (though I can't explain that...).

I actually knew exactly what it was.
Aaron is pronounced like Erin
so why not Aarika like Erika...
I don't know if I like the way it looks though
because I associate it with Aaron--I think it looks a little too masculine for my taste

I don't see it as being pronounced the same as Erika. The Aa- to me would sound like -Ah or -Aw.

I hesitate to read it as Erica. In fact, it resembles Aaliyah so closely that I'm inclined to guess it's pronounced aw-REEK-a ... and that it's Arabic. As an alternate spelling of Erica, I find it sort of overwrought and trendy.
