[Opinions] WDYT of Sheighlyn?
A friend of mine has this name. I'm not sure about the meaning of thr name, but she tells me her mom found it in a college yearbook in the Boston area.

I hate the spelling, but Shaelan is a GP of mine.

I find it utterly trendy and rather odd-looking (and I don't know whether it's 'sheelin' or 'shaylin'). Also reminds me of 'shieling', which makes it a strange word name (though I suppose no different to Meadow or Leigh / Lee).As for the meaning of the name, I doubt it has one, it looks like a train crash between Sheila (or Sheelagh) and Lyn.

It's pronounced "Shay-lyn"

Now, you see,I'd have automatically pronounced it 'shee-lin' because of it's similarity to Sheila ('shee-la'), the name Leigh ('lee'), and names ending in -leigh (like Kayleigh, Hayleigh, Ashleigh), which are usually pronounced '(whatever)-lee'.Does she have problems with pronunciation?

No. She pronounces the name of our friend Haleigh right

I know a SheelinAnd I think it's ugly no matter how it's spelled. An early creatyv name, I think.

Looks made up to me and I don't really care for the spelling, but it does sound nice.
