[Opinions] WDYT of Amy?
I personally find this name quite cute. I have a friend name Amy. Does this name sound to cutesy to use as a child matures?

I had a great-grandmother named Amy Victoria, and I grew up with several Amys so I can certainly see it on all ages. I personally think it is a very sweet, pretty, timeless, just gorgeous name that is actually refreshing to see on a baby these days :)
Sweet, simple, but very boring
I've always loved this name, for some reason. I think it's cute and sweet, but it also has some spunk to it. I think it ages quite well.
Not too cutesy but I really don't like it. It is boring, sickly and obnoxious sounding IMO.
I like it. It's also a name that was common among my peers growing up, so I don't think of it as being very striking. I don't think it sounds cutesy on an adult, perhaps because of the powerful sounding long initial A.
Hate it. Boring, plain, short, obnoxious.
agree
I like it.
I think it's fine for all ages.

I can't stand it, sorry.
Adore it. It's the name of two family members, otherwise I'd use it.
I like it.
It's one of the few names used on my generation that I'd probably use if I had to (ie my future husband and I had conflicting naming styles). It's very cute and I think it ages well despite the "ee" ending.

Sweet, simple, and lovely.
I like it a lot, and it isn't so popular where I live. It's not cutesy at all because it's been so consistently used imo.
Love it. It makes me think of Amy Robsart. Sad story, but so historic and interesting and makes the name come alive for me.

It's cute, pleasant, ages well, and is REALLY, REALLY COMMON/BORING.
:)

ditto :)
I like it...
But it's very, very plain. It's been used consistently, so it will be fine as the child matures. However... it's just very plain and safe. For someone else, it's nice enough. Amy Juliet is very pretty, though.

I know a little girl, a college student, and a woman in her 50s named Amy. I think it matures well.
I think it's lovely, if a little dated. I prefer the spelling Amie because of a personal association, but I think Amy is fine, too.
