[Opinions] Twins, wdyt?
I've gotten kind of bored with single name combos and I am having fun thinking of twin sets. I really like my newest one and would love to use it on future daughters (that is...if I ever have twins!).What do you think? Livia Apple and Zowie BlueThanks! :)

Livia is gorgeous. Apple and Blue are extremely tacky and not names. Zowie is butchered and really, really awful. Zoe is a lovely name--why ruin it?

Livia is very pretty, Apple reminds me of G. Paltrow but I guess it's ok as mn and I'm sorry, Zowie Blue is just not a name... except for a cartoon character, maybe. What's wrong with Zoe?

I think Zowie is terribleI love Zoe and only Zoe. Any other spelling is awful IMO, although I can live with Zoey if I absolutley have to. Cutesyness is not a good reason to choose a spelling that none is ever going to get right- I was pronoucing it Zow-ee at first, and I think an awful lot of people will, especially as so many people know of Zowie Bowie. Livia is nice, and I can live with Blue and Apple as mn's- but I'd switch them around. Livia Apple doesn't work- the A's run together. Livia Blue and Zoe Apple would be nice.

It feels very celeb-inspiredNamely Gwyneth Paltrow and David Bowie. And possibly Cher, but that's a stretch.

Not intended to be celeb-inspired

I like Livia, but that's it. Zoe would be much, much better. Zowie looks like it should rhyme with wow-ee. :-/

I thought the same thing about the prn of Zowie. It also brings to mind David Bowie (just b/c of the spelling, I guess), which ... at least for me... is a freaky association.I also prefer Olivia to Livia.

Actually...David Bowie does have a daughter named Zowie (poor kid, Zowie Bowie)

Nope, his sonNot his daughter. Zowie Bowie now calls himself Joe.

Oh, I didn't know that

Those two names as a twin set seem a little bit ridiculous to me. If you insist on using the middle names Apple and Blue, try putting them with longer, uncommon first names. And changing Zowie to Zoe would help, too. There is really no need for all the extra letters.

Very celebrity-name, with Apple and Zowie. I love Livia, although as a nickname for Olivia, and Blue.

Sorry if you're offended but I don't like it at all.Zowie looks awful, I can just barely tolerate Zoe. Blue, if it has importance to you (eg. family surname) then it is fine as a mn but it sounds so cutesy next to Zoe. Catherine Blue or Josephine Blue, Caroline Blue, Veronica Blue or something along those lines wouldn't be so bad. Apple is a fruit, and I'm sure you got it from Gwyneth Paltrow. Apologies if it does have family value. Livia is fine, but the transition from the "a" at the end to the "a" at Apple does not appeal to me at all, just as I cannot stand the flow of say Maria Anne or Joanna Alice. I think overall, the combos sound like something out of a cartoon comic.

I'm not offended. Honestly, I was going for cutesy. I chose Zowie instead of Zoe because Zoe looks very plain to me and I wanted it to be a bit longer next to Livia. Yes, I did hear Apple from Gwyneth Paltrow. I like it as a fn too, but I think she would be made fun of. I think it works nicely as a mn. I wanted Zowie to have a cutesy mn too, that is how I decided on Blue.

Just out of curiosity...Why are you going for cutesy? Do you really want your children to grow up with "cutesy" names? It seems like an odd thing to aim for.

I just like that style : ) no real reason

Well, if you want to go for cutesy then it works, but Zowie and Livia don't sound too cutesy next to eachother unless you learn their mns, so it is not as bad as some twins. I'm just saying that many of the twins I have met hated the fact that they had cutesy names, just because they were twins. If you like the names you should go for it.

ooh! That's so cute!Unfortunately, I'm afraid it's a little... extreme?Apple and Blue would work fine as middle names, I love them! Livia could work as a first name. Maybe Zoe instead of Zowie? I think it could work then!Livia Apple and Zoe Blue!I love it!

I'm not really fond of the spelling Zoe. It just looks a little plain to me and kind of short next to Livia. What about Livia Apple and Zoie Blue instead? Would that be cute? Or is it too weird?Or what do you think of Zoiea (I think it would be pronounced as Zoe)? I know it's weird. I was trying to come up with different spellings for Zoe and I thought this looked nice next to Livia: Livia and Zoiea? I guess it might be hard for people to figure out how to pronounce it. I don't know if I like it, just trying to find something different than Zoe and Zoey.

Nope, only Zoe. Zoey if you must, but all the others look illiterate, imo.

ditto. it's one thing to be cutesy, it's another to look illiterate.
