[Surname] Re: Levario
There's Levari, Levaretti, Levarelli and Levarotti, all meaning "son of Levaro/Levario" (the endings -etti, -elli and -otti are diminutives). There's also the Basque surname Lebario and a Basque place called Lebario. My guess Lebario and the Italian names Levari, Levario, etc. are not related, but that's just my guess. The meaning of Levarus might be connected with the Italian levare (from Latin levare ) meaning "to lift up, to rise up".
