[Opinions] Re: Taran and Taron
in reply to a message by CN
Taran - first (and really only) context I heard it in was Lloyd Alexander's children's fantasy series of books (Chronicles of Prydain) -- it was the name of the male protagonist. I believe it is supposed to be pronounced TAR-un (like barring), but as a kid, I used to say TAIR'n (like barren). I like Taran (TAR-un), for a male not a female.Taron - I suspect it of being a variant of Taryn (TAIR-in, a girl name), or maybe Taran (boy).I prefer the name Tarn to either (male). It's less ambiguous, and has a meaning that's known to me.
