First, people really need to stop naming their dogs Sadie. It's reaching to a ridiculous extent, and it's ruining a perfectly good name. Also, I really, really, really think you ought to spell it the traditional way. Saydee does look illiterate, as other posters have pointed out. Other forms and names with similar meanings of the names you don't like I have listed below. (I do really like Sadie Lillian, and Sadie Helen is also very nice.)

On Estelle... I have always loved the name Danica. What bugs me is when people pronounce it dah-NEE-kah. Grr. And Roxana is great!

Maia (it's on my PNL, but spelled Maya)
Mairin -- kind of exotic, kind of unique, but still really cool
Mara -- I love this, but my name is Laura, so it would be weird to use on my child.
Maria -- I like this one lots. Always have.
Mariel -- had not thought of this one! I like it!

Molly -- ADORE this name.
Hmm... Toiba variants... my mother is named after Toiba (Toba), and I like some of the meaning similarities... especially Tova. I agree with you, Paloma and Jemima are the better ones [grins], although I doubt I'd use Jemima just because of the Aunt Jemima Pancake Syrup stigma.
Bertha:
Clara -- very nice. I had no idea this was related to Bertha!
Roxana -- since it works for honoring two relatives, I like it double!
Godiva... that is COOL. I had NEVER considered that before. Very cool.
I was thinking I'd use Paul on a boy... mn Simon. That should cover Pauline, since I've never really liked any of the feminized versions of Paul.
