[Opinions] Kingston / Kingsley
I met a little boy with the name Kingsley, and I've
also recently heard the name Kingston. What do you
think of these names? I don't mind either one, but would
probably not use them myself. Any other opinions?

I love Kingsley. Then again, Kingsley Shacklebolt is one of my very favorite minor characters in Harry Potter, so that's probably the reason. :DKingston doesn't do much for me, though. Didn't Gwen Stefani name her son this? Because that's what it always makes me think of.

Both sound pretentious to me, but I'll admit to a certain fondness for Kingsley thanks to Mr. Amis.

*Adore* Kingsleywith a passion. It's my favorite boys name, along with Tristan, although Kingsley is winning right now for my number one slot. I first heard it from the great character in Harry Potter, and totally fell in love with it. Wonderful name, really.I've also been liking Kingston lately too. I've seen Kingsten and Kingstyn before, but, needless to say, eww. So, anyways, I think both of these names are great, and I'd like to see more of them (but not too much more :D), and I'd somewhat prefer Kingsley to Kingston, myself.

I think Kingston is alright maybe as a middle name, but I don't like Kingsley.

I like Kingsley, I think partially because of the Harry Potter association. It's also a brand of kid's clothing, though. Kingston sounds more like the name of a town than a person imo.

Kingstons are an extremely delicious type of biscuit (cookie) here in Australia, so it's pretty much unusable.I don't mind Kingsley for someone else's child.

Random...I just named a kitten of mine that. It went with my theme of Harry Potter names. But I like Kingsley better than Kingston. I knew a teacher called Mrs. Kingston in elementry school so that's what I always think of.

I really like Kingston, it's one of those place names that isn't too obvious. I would definitely consider using it if I had a boy. I'm not too fond of Kingsley though.
