This is my favourite name for boys! I don't have any HP associations as this is my father's name so I was familiar with Arthur way before Harry Potter was even published. I like the nicknames Art and Artie they are quite sweet.
My favourite combo is Arthur Erasmus but some others are ...
Arthur Julian
Arthur Ray
Arthur Francis
Arthur Cosmo
Arthur Quincy
Arthur Eli
Arthur Thomas
Eleanor x

the first thing I think of is.....
The kids show, It's really a great show. I grew up watching Arthur. It's not a name I would use but it isn't bad.

I really like Arthur, but I wouldn't get around to using it. It is a family name for me, so I am biased in that sense.
Arthur is very handsome. I don't care for the nn Art.
I don't associate it with Harry Potter.

I love it! And not just because I love the legend of King Arthur. It is a really cool name.
Dude, it's NOT Harry Potter AT ALL.
And for that matter, neither is Lily, James, Harry, Fred, George, Oliver, Dolores, Ariana, Peter, Molly, Charlie, Bill, Percy, Seamus, Lavender, Dean, Teddy, Tom, Bertha, Rose, Hugo, Gabrielle, Viktor, Horace, Aurora, Charity, Neville, Wilhelmina, Fabian, Gideon, Frank, Amelia, Rufus, Stan, Cornelius, Amos, Cedric, Alice, Frank, or any of the purposefully REALLY traditional or even slightly out-there (but still traditional) names JK often picked for her characters.
Arthur is great. Handsome and dignified. I'm not too keen on Art but I don't mind it.

Damn straight.
Arthur is, if anything, a legendary king to me first and foremost, NOT the father of Harry Potter's sidekick. People will say to me, "Oh, you like a lot of HP names." I like Arthur, George, Percy, Alice, Poppy, Minerva...there are so many names in that book, how is one supposed to avoid them?
Anyway, on the topic of Arthur, I think it's a smashing name. Art is fine too, though I probably wouldn't use it.

LOL, I totally agree!
Like Eliora, it doesn't strike me as being totally HP on first glance (though combined with your other favourites, I think it might). I immediately think of Christian Bale's character in the movie Velvet Goldmine, and since I think he's absolutely charming in it, that's a good thing.
I like Art and Artie both--Art for Tatum and Garfunkel, Artie for Shaw. Either one strikes me as a bit hipster, but very fun.
Arthur David, Arthur Daniel, Arthur John / Arthur Jonathan, Arthur Seamus?
Array

I love it a lot
And associate it with King Arthur and Avalon, not Harry Potter.

I don't see it as an HP name...
At all.
I like the name quite a bit, and would probably use it if it wasn't the name of my grandfather. I don't like the nn Art at all - that just screams old man to me.
It's a great name, though - uncommon and cool.
