[Opinions] Henry
Do you think Henry would be a horrible name for a small child?

It's fine, but not my style. However, it *doesn't* work as a sibling for Heidi, they're too similar.

No not at all. Henry is just fine.:)

No!!!I will definitely use it as a mn, but I think it's great as a first name, too. Classic and very handsome.

I couldn't use it since it's my daughter's middle name.

Heidi Haeri, according to one of her old posts . . .http://www.behindthename.com/bb/arcview.php?id=779944&board=babyIf I remember correctly, it's a Korean name chosen for its significance to her birthdate.

Your daughter's middle name is Harry?

No. It's quite a nice name, actually.

Not at allI really like the name. There's nothing horrible about it.

Used to *hate* itI used to think Henry was one of the worst names ever...I didn't and still don't care whether it's a "classic" name or not. I actually am beginning to like it more but I would never use it. It's fine for someone else's kid.

I think it's a pretty trendy name actuallyI like it, but I already know 3 little Henrys, so not something I'd personally consider.

What? It's never been horrible. What do you mean "more acceptable"?What the hell! Henry is fine. It's just an ordinary name, like James or something, but less popular and therefore more distinctive. I wouldn't blink at a little Henry (except to say "Oh, what a nice-named kid!") Especially since Henry's in the top 100 now.No, it's not horrible in any way. It surprises me to even hear that question asked and kind of offends me that someone "thinks" it's becoming "more acceptable." (But only because I'm defensive about Henry.)

I say "more acceptable" because 5-10 years ago it was viewed as more of an old-fashioned name, but it is becoming more common on children now and is acceptable because of that.Didn't mean to offend. And I don't think it is a horrible name. It has grown on me a lot.

I really like Henry. It's a classical name imo and I think it would be great if it became popular again. I prefer this one to all the weird, kr8tive names that everybody seems to love nowadays.

No not at all! I actually kind of like the name Henry.

I think it is becoming more acceptable

nms, but it wouldn't be horrible at all.

Nope. It's a fine name, and I don't think there's anything "horrible" about it. It's actually becoming quite popular. For this reason, I'm not a fan of the name, myself-- I just think it's boring-- but it's definitely usable, so long as you don't mind a name that's currently in the top 100 boys' names for the United States.

That's one big thing that turns me off to the name, as well. I can't stand popular names.
Ella had been my favorite name for years, but I couldn't bring myself to use it when my daughter was born, so she became Heidi instead.

Henry & Heidi? Um, no.
