Names for African children? I really don't think so. I suppose it's possible that some of the children from those countries might have extremely patriotic parents who would name them the local variation of name for the country, but those are the English names for those countries. I'm prepared to bet that there is not a single child with ANY of those names in the whole of Africa.
As names that slightly weird English-speaking parents might give their children, they don't surprise me at all.
Morocco - nms but it wouldn't be terrible.
Egypt - nmsaaaa, but . . . read the history of the name Gypsy
Zaire - this would be cute for a cat
Ethiopia - yeah, let's give a girl a name with the word 'pee' in it
Somalia - not exactly a cheery namesake
