[Opinions] Avellana and Blessing
I've started doing Spanish lessons once a week, and our teacher insists that we all use Spanish names. So she translated nearly everyone's names into Spanish. Those who couldn't be translated were given other Spanish names (Sian was given Sara). My name (Hazel) is one that doesn't have a Spanish name so she says I could be Avellana which she says means Hazelnut. I don't really like it and I keep getting tongue tied when I say it. I think it's pronounced a bit like AH-feh-yan-a, but I may be wrong. :p WDYT?(Sorry this is getting quite long!!)Also, today i was in the library and I heard a woman whisper shouting (if you know what I mean) "Blessing, come here right now". I thought poor girl, what a horrible name! EVEN WORSE!! Blessing turned out to be a boy!!!!!!!!!! I think he was African. WDYT?
