[Opinions] Ross and Rachel????
That's like naming your twins Romeo and Juliet or Charles and Diana. Bad plan.

First off, I wouldn't imagine "Friends" is as popular in Scotland as it is in the U.S., but I could be wrong. Also, not sure how old Ross & Rachel are. Actually, Jane Pauley (an American newsperson) has twins named Ross & Rachel, but they were born in 1983, long before "Friends" was 'born'. :b

I think if a person didn't really watch Friends they wouldn't seem so odd a pairing.

Especially with Ross being such a common name in Scotland, people might not make the connection. I know a couple called Ross and Rachel and no one's ever mentioned the Friends thing, as far as I know.

Perhaps the parents were avid 'shippers of Ross/Rachel. ;)Made you look. =P

I don't think it's that bad. I don't think that Friends is so popular that it's the first thing to come to mind, and it's not on anymore either. But maybe it's just me because I've only seen it once or twice and I don't like it. I think it's mostly a bad plan because they start with the same letter. Romeo and Juliet or Charles and Diana on the other hand would be quite ridiculous. :)

That's what I thought! Lol have the parents been living under a rock or are they really that mean?! Although I spose 'Friends' isn't so current now, especially with children at primary school, so at least they might not get teased for it.The combo I liked was Niamh and Katie
