I think that it is pretty sounding. But reminds me of medication.

I like Allegra and I don't have the association of allergy medication because we don't have it in Australia. I just have a problem with it being a music term. I'd use it and I'd want to say a-LEG-gra for a name, but my brain says I should pronounce it a-LAY-gra...Hmm, some mn suggestions:
Allegra Celeste
Allegra Jeanne
Allegra Chloe
Allegra Genevieve
Allegra Diane
Allegra Zoe
Allegra Frances
Allegra Daphne
Allegra Clementine
Allegra Madeleine
Allegra Eloise
Allegra Clare
Allegra Charis
Allegra Tanith
Allegra Esmee
Allegra Camille
Allegra Decima
Allegra Nadine
Allegra Ruth
Allegra Sibyl
Allegra Candace
Allegra Charlotte
Allegra Carmel
Allegra Bethany

thanx for all the suggestions- yeah I was noticing all the references to medication but since I am from Australia too, it doesnt bother me either!
I also didnt know it was a music term.

I really like the sound of it, and it's a favorite of a lot of people, but for some reason I just can't stop thinking about the allergy medicine. It might just be me though, because loads of other people adore it. But don't get me wrong, I think it's very nice-sounding.

I like Allegra alot, it's on my list. but I haven't got any middle names picked out. something not super girly, would be better, in my opinion.

Yes, I agree with that. Nothing really springs to mind though, nothing that flows or compliments it...mmmm...have to keep thinking about that one!
