I don't think of Angela as old-fashioned, I think of it as classic. It's one of my favourite names, and I actually like the nn Aggie.
My favourite comboa are Angela Mae, Angela Molly and Angela Piper

It's not exactly old-fashioned. It's been used for a very long time, and is still well-used today. I've met or heard of Angelas of all ages, from small children to an elderly lady. It is a bit dated, in the sense that I tend to associate it a lot with the eighties, but it's not dated in the same way as say, Brittany is.

I'm okay with the name, it's nice but I'd never want to use it. I do not like the nn Angie, I know two very irritating women named Angie.

DOn't worry about it being too old fashioned, I know three Angela's, one of the is probably fifty, another 16, and the last one is 2, so age range is fine. I think Angie is cute, and I have only met one Angie (the 16 year old Angela) so to me it doesn't seem too popular.

I know a few Angelas. They're 6, 20-something and 50-something. They go by Gela "JEL-ah", Ang "ANJ" or Angie. angela doesn't feel dated to me. I quite like Angela with nn Gela; it sounds refreshing.

I don't think Angela is too old-fashioned, but for some reason the nn Angie strikes me as being rather dated. Give me some time to think about it and I'm sure I'll come round to liking it.
One more thing: Angela seems like the name the girlfriend of a mob boss would have in a mafia movie. For that reason alone, I'd never use it.

I love Angela and I don't think it's too old. I like Angie as well. I may consider using Angela after one of my relatives.

I like Angela, too, but I put it in the same category with names like Melissa, Stephanie, Kimberly, Kelly, Ashley and Jennifer--names that were super popular during the 1970s and 1980s. Therefore, it is a little dated, but I believe it's used relatively sparsely on children today. How many Angelas do you know or have you heard of under the age of ten?
