[Opinions] Jessenia?
What do you think of the name Jessenia? There's a girl in my TV acting class with that name, and I really like it. It's much better than Jessica, which is just way too popular. What do you think of it?

How do you say it? Is it like jes-EEN-ya? jes-EEN-ee-ah? jes-EHN-ya? I like any of those pn. actually, but I'm wondering what the real one is, lol.

The girl I know with this name pronounces it Jess-ehn-ya.

This is an alternate spelling of Jesenia or Yesenia. It's actually quite common in the Hispanic American community, though people of other ethnic groups would find it to be novel.

I love it, too. It used to be one of my favorite names. I agree that it's a great alternative to the overused Jessica. I think it's supposed to be prn jeh-SEE-nee-uh, but I'd prn it jeh-SEH-nee-uh.

I like Jessenia a lot. While I like the softness of Jessie, I've never liked Jessica so Jessenia would work for me.

I like Jessenia, but I prefer Jessamy (Jess-a-mi). That's the name of a girl in my youth theatre, Jessamy Albion. Her middle name is because her Dad's a huge West Bromwich Albion football fan, much to Jess's horror!
