I think it's more like naming a kid Parisian or Washingtonian or Baton Rougian or Chicagan or San Franciscan or Bostonian. In other words, i don't like it. And, I think that it's different than naming a kid after a city. Roman, in effect, actually means person who lives in Rome.
Well . . . German *is* a name, and what about Francis?
