[Opinions] Demelza
When I was 9 years old, I had a teacher called Demelza (she let slip her name once) and I always loved it. I had her as a youth worker in a drama club once, and while we kids called her Demelza, the other adults called her Dem or Demi, and I still really like it :)I was reminded of it today when my friend was talking about the HP character. WDYT?

I don't know. It's different ,which I love, but a little too damsel-esque perhaps?

When my mum was pregnant with me, she thought about naming me Demelza, but decided it was a little too "out-there" for the time and wanted to use something Biblical instead. I think it's a nice name, I like it a lot.

Demelza is so incredibly cool-sounding and awesome. I love it. Demelza will be the name of my next female sim.[...if it fits her. I had Godiva all planned out, but when she was born it just wasn't right, so I thought hard until I came up with Fortuna, which was absolutely perfect. I am really worried that this will happen with real children.](Was it you who was talking about meeting a Demelza Moth? I love that!)

Aw.I grew up in the 70's watching BBC imports like the Poldark series. One of the characters in the 18th century drama set in Corwall was named Demelza. The actress that played her was/is named Angharad. I was introduced to the two names through that show and I still love them both. I never thought about the nn Demi for Demelza, but it makes perfect sense. Love Demelza. Love nn Demi.

I really like it!I've got quite a lot of family in Cornwall and I have a distant relative called Demelza, she goes by the nn Elza but I think Demi is nice too. Great name :)
