I've liked the name
Eamon since first hearing it used on a character in a movie a couple months ago. I loved it's Irish Gaelic heritage but thought it a bit hard to pronounce and so passed it up on my favorites list for more old-fashioned names such as
Simon,
Miles and
Edmund. Recently learning that
Eamonn is the Gaelic form of
Edmund I've started to love
Eamon a bit more. It's also not quite as popular as
Ian and
Aidan which have similar sounds but are so popular!
So I'm looking for MNs for
Eamon now and wondering if it sounds nice with
Ciaran (my favorite boy's name) as a bother.
My other favorite boys names are
Simon,
Jack,
Colin,
Miles,
Andrew,
Nathaniel,
Henry.
Two combos I've been considering are
Eamon David and
Eamon Arthur, maybe
Eamon Carmichael? Any suggestions would be grand!
