[Opinions] Re: Evangeline
in reply to a message by Working Class Hero
Know someone with the name? We are still awaiting one of our members (Cambria) to return from the hospital with her new baby Evangelynn (spelled a little different, but I love it). :-)
But, you asked for combos.
Evangeline Marie
Evangeline Ophelia
Evangeline Persephone
Evangeline Liora
Evangeline Tiara
Evangeline Ramona
Evangeline Georgia
Evangeline Chari (shah-REE)
As far as the nn goes, I love Even (like... even number) or Evey.

Oh, question!
Are you pronouncing it ee-VAN-je-lien or ee-VAN-je-leen? I like it ending with -lien.

You're kidding! Cambria clearly has good taste LOL. Congratulations to her!
Evangeline Persephone is so gorgeous I'm getting shivers just thinking about it!
Also, never though of Even, but I should of. It's really lovely.
Thanks Jen, happy holidays

Little secret...
*whispers* When I got here, I couldn't stand the name Persephone. It's true. But now, I rather like it! It's kind of... mystical? Maybe that's not the word I'm looking for. Regal. That's it. It's regal.
Oh, how about Evangeline Denise?

There is a German girl in my class called Denise so it has good connotations for me.
I agree with Persephone. After reading it in the first part of a trilogy (Malorie Blackman's 'Noughts and Crosses') I struggled to pronounce it and then decided it was a stupid name. However, my liking for it has grown considerably since then!
