[Opinions] New Celeb Baby
Actress Julianne Nicholson, 36, and her husband, actor Jonathan Cake, 40, welcomed daughter Ignatius in early September.I am shocked to see Ignatius for a girl, I know someone on this board likes it for a girl though :).

Eeesh, that is awful. That is possibly the ugliest name I've seen on a girl.Honestly what is feminine about that? Some unisex/boys' names on girls I admit I can, grudgingly, see the appeal and understand why the parents chose that name or because it is due to a 'cute' nickname (eg Elliot 'Ellie', Hollis 'Holly' etc). However, Iggie does not have that 'trendy-cute' appeal and there is nothing else in the name that would (Igna? That uber-masculine -tius part?).

Hate it on a girl, good on a boy though.:-)

Lovely for boy, horrible for a girl.

Ignatius is a GP name for me, but on a boy. It's horrible on a girl, imo.

I like Ignatius, but not for a girl. Why not Ignatia? Edited for spelling.

I like Ignacja for a girl, but Ignatius is totally not feminine! (Would love to hear it on a boy these days though. :p )
