Dear
Julia,
We'd just like to say thank you so much for finding us four delightful children to complete our family. They've all fitted in so well that it feels like they've always been a part of our family.
Rory,
Camden and
Iris have initiated Jas into their little gang and the four of them are as thick as thieves. Luckily for me they all love playing 'house' and help plenty with all the cleaning, cooking and childcare! They especially dote upon
Leo and they are currently helping
Tom build a treehouse (sorry, I've been told it is 'gang headquarters'). Jas is especially excited as she tells us she's never had a proper garden before so ours with its giant trampoline, jungle gym, slide and swing set seems like heaven to her! She's even learning to ride a bike with the help of her big sisters.
We decided that it was important that Jas and
Leo formed a close bond as biological siblings and so we have enrolled them in football (soccer) classes together.
Leo is particularily appreciative of the time with his big sis. Like Jas, he's in heaven here at the house - he almost went purple with excitement when we showed him the attic music room. It's full of musical instruments (guitars, a piano, a harp, a flute, a violin) and big squashy armchairs to listen to music in. I'm currently teaching him some guitar chords and he's catching on extremely quickly!
Matthew is doing great as well although initially he seemed a bit daunted by all the girls!
He's been seeing a speech therapist and is rapidly improving. This weeks new words are 'Jaguar', 'Ferrari' and 'Lamburgini'. Hmm...
He's especially bonded with
Tom's brother
Oliver who owns a garage.
He spends many happy afternoons helping out Uncle Olly - they're repairing an old Chevrolet together. Maybe it'll be ready for when
Matty turns 17! Although it has been a slower process, he's bonded very well with his siblings. Jas loves to help him in the garden with his physiotheraphy and is forever bossing him about to 'run and fetch this' but he loves to do it for her!
Leo and
Matty's nursery teacher tells me that
Leo is also fiercly protective of his little brother and luckily all the other boys and girls treat him equally which is a big relief for us.
He's made a lot of new friends and he seems to have more of a social life than the rest of us put together!
Finally little
Eva (
Evita as we've taken to jokingly calling her). She's absolutely beautiful - big blue eyes and an incredible amount of blonde curls. I can't get enough of her - she's my special little girl and I love nothing more than sneaking away from the madness with
Eva to quietly read a picture book. On a plus, she's now got her hearing aids and we've noticed a big change in her attention. She now looks at us when we speak and recognises our different voices which is fantastic. She's starting to speak a little as well (Ma,
Da, RoRo, Camdy,
Isis, Jas, Lelo &
Matty) which makes us exceptionally proud parents.
I can't thank you enough for bringing these beautiful children into our lives.
With great thanks,
LeonorLove from
