So I've been in love with the name
Lennon recently but when I told my friend about it and she though I had said
Lenard, I realized that the name probably wasn't going to work because that mistake would come up a lot. And another friend thought I said lemon. So those confusions kind of ruin it for me. But I was looking online and I guess
Lennon came from the Irish name Leannan meaning Lover in gaelic wich I really like. It's similar enough to
Lennon that I'd know what it's referencing but not everyone would make the association, giving her less teasing oppurtunities. And it's more feminine than
Lennon and sounds better on a girl. I pronounce the name "Lee-anne-an". Please correct me if you think i'm saying it wrong since I've never heard it spoken. And I think I would like to use the nick name
Lea with it. Although I'm not sure about a middle name...
Leannan
Emily Leannan
Emilia Leannan
Victoria Leannan Johannah
Leannan
Estelle Leannan
Alexandra Leannan
Sarah
I'm not sure...nothing really seems to fit with it. Any suggestions? I feel like the middle name should be shorter like Leannan
Grace or something, but the people i would like to honor with a middle name have longer names. It doesn't have to be after someone, as long as it flows I guess. Any ideas are welcome.
Also, I really like the name
Louisa with the nick name
Lucy, but do you think the names are too matchy for sisters?
Leannan and
Louisa Lea and
Lucy I wasn't trying to make them match, I just picked the names seperately and they happened to be similar. (it's kind of funny cause
Louisa is my way of honoring the soulful
Aretha Louise Franklin and the girl with colidoscope eyes to a degree, lol. And Leannan is my round about way of representing
John Lennon. So they're both kind of an inadvertant honoring of a musician I greatly respect.)
So anyway...any opinions on Leannan, middle name ideas, and thoughts on the sibling combo would be helpful!
Thanks so much!
