Ava is happy to announce that she is a big sister! Isabella Lucy, whom we have nicknamed Ella, came into the world August 8th, weighing 7 pounds, 4 ounces; 20 inches long. Ella has light brown hair and brown eyes. While Ava was a rather shy baby who preferred familiarity, Ella has an outgoing personality that lights up the room. She has such a sweet smile and loves to be around people.
Big sister Ava is absolutely wonderful with Ella. John and I could not have chosen a better relationship for the two. Ava has to see her little sister first thing in the morning, loves to play with her all day, and cannot go to sleep without first giving her a kiss good night. The girls are so precious together, and Ella could not have asked for a better sister (and she seems to already know it!). We can tell they're going to be quite close as they get older, and Ava can't wait for the day that Ella can really play dolls and dress up with her.
Ava is now two and half years old and growing so quickly. Her hair seems to have lightened recently, but it wouldn't at all surprise me if it darkens up as she gets older; and she still has Daddy's beautiful blue eyes and that contagious smile that captures everyone. Thankfully, she hasn't put Mommy and Daddy through much of the terrible twos, and is really a sweet little girl. She loves to color, play with her dolls, and Care Bears are her absolute favorite at the moment.
I began auditioning for small guest roles in television when Ava was about eight months old and continued until shortly after I found out I was pregnant with Ella. Now that we have another baby, I've decided to take some time off, just like I did with Ava, to just be Mommy to my two precious girls. They're absolutely wonderful, and John and I cannot imagine having a better life or sweeter gifts of joy.
