We have Sofia, Liliana and Natalia on our list so far, but I would love more suggestions. I'm still trying to find something that would sound nice with Leah, it's so hard!

Hmm my favourite Portuguese/Spanish names are Filipa, Sara and Catarina... not very helpful, I know.

Names of relatives/friends/people I know (all Portuguese, first names only):

Beatriz (difficult sound in -iz, something between bee-uh-treez and bee-uh-treesh, closer to this last one)
Vanessa
Inês (difficult sound again in -ês, something like ee-nesh (with a nasal sound in the e) and the "s" sound is something between "sh" and "zh")
Daniela ("Da" sounds like "duh")
Sara (sah-ruh)
Filipa (fee-lee-puh)
Sandra
Cátia
Olga ("O" sounding like "aw")
Rosa
Bela
Carina (kah-ree-nuh)
Mariana
Ana
Laura (low-ruh, "ow" rhymes with "now")

I'm such as a sucker for Spanish names! I ADORE Sofia and Natalia, and Liliana is nice.

Adriana (ah-dree-AH-nah is the correct Spanish pron. This is tied with Sofia/Sophia as my favorite girl's name.)

I wouldn't worry too much about it 'going' with Leah. I just wouldn't use another 'l' name. Pick a name you love, and don't worry about 'matching' it.

Well I tried to lay off the '-a' ending as it seemed sing-songy.
I don't know how "Spanish" some of these names are but they are listed as Spanish or Portuguese names.

From what i understand of my last name is that it comes from Spain,but i dont know what the meaning behind the name is.My last name is Pelayo.May anybody help me out.
