[Opinions] Elisabeth
How do you prn Elisabeth? Do you make a conscious effort to have the soft S in the middle, or do you just say it like Elizabeth?
My problem is that I say Elizabeth, but I sort of gravitate towards the S spelling. I do actually like both, though the prospect of Elise as a NN pulls me towards the S. Thoughts?
Also, I would really, really, really, appreciate combo suggestions. I am getting bored with my typical MNs.

Then it'd be the e-LEE-zah-bet pronunciation.

Some of you were so close!
Elisabeth Kate and Elisabeth Faye came so close to being my name, Elisabeth Kaye. =D
I have to say that I have mixed feeling about Elisabeth. I've grown up getting awards that say "Elizabeth" and I find that really irritating. If they can get Quarica right then they should get my name right. Someone said that Elisabeth and Elizabeth are both pronounced the same in America, and they are right.
Also, Elisabeth and Elizabeth are both four parts long. It's sort of hard for people to get out all the time. I agree that a nickname is brilliant.
Although I find two things wrong with having the name Elisabeth, I really like it. The spelling is slightly better in my opinion but that's probably because that's the way I spell it.

I've never heard ann American English speaker say Elisabeth any differently from Elizabeth, so I see no difference betweeen the two spellings, except that Elizabeth is currently more popular.
If I wanted to use the name Elise, I would just use it and skip Elisabeth/Elizabeth altogether. Elise isn't like Liz, where you really only see it as a nn. Elise is a full name in its own right now.

I prn. it the same as Elizabeth- I just like the look of Elisabeth a lot better. Elise is a cute nn (my fave nn is Ella.) I think it sounds best with a short, sweet middle name:
Elisabeth Claire
Elisabeth Grace
Elisabeth Kate
Elisabeth Mae/May
Elisabeth Claire
Elisabeth Grace
Elisabeth Kate
Elisabeth Mae/May
I like Clare, thanks.
I pronounce it with more of an S than Elizabeth. It kind of sounds like Alyssa Beth. I prefer it spelled with the Z, but if you want the nickname Elise, then Elisabeth makes more sense.
I think Elisabeth would go best with a more uncommon middle name since it's so common and plain (but still pretty!). I quickly perused some name lists and here are some somewhat random suggestions:
Elisabeth Augusta
Elisabeth Caroline
Elisabeth Constance
Elisabeth Darcy
Elisabeth Delilah
Elisabeth Dorothy
Elisabeth Georgia
Elisabeth Gretchen
Elisabeth Jacqueline
Elisabeth Megan
Elisabeth Nola
Elisabeth Ophelia
Elisabeth Paige
Elisabeth Ramona
Elisabeth Rowena
Elisabeth Scarlet
Elisabeth Valerie
Elisabeth Virginia

I do try and put that "s" sound in, but I think in general most people are used to saying it with a Z sound, at least, Elizabeth is more heard of than Elisabeth.
Trying to get interesting:
Elisabeth Corinne
Elisabeth Rachel

Elisabeth Louise
Elisabeth Julia
Elisabeth Naomi
Elisabeth Joan
Elisabeth Iris
Elisabeth Caroline / Coraline
Elisabeth Eira
Elisabeth Teresa / Theresa
Elisabeth Helen
Elisabeth Elaine
Elisabeth Zoe
Elisabeth Chloe
Elisabeth Virginia
Elisabeth Eve
Anything inspire you?

I do make a conscious effort to soften the 's', if the spelling is Elisabeth. Then it'd be the e-LEE-sah-bet pronunciation. But if the spelling is Elizabeth, I always make the conscious effort to make the 'z' in that more prominent. If then it'd be the ee-LIZ-a-beth pronunciation and this is the variant I prefer. But that's just me.
I'll say, do as you want with that Elise, even if you tend to say Elizabeth. Everyone has their own opinions and I couldn't tell you what to do.
And as for combos? I don't know which styles of mn's you'd prefer here, someone in the same style as Elizabeth, meaning classic, or those that are more colorful. Meaning those I prefer, as in those that steps outside the box in styles.

I say Elisabeth the same way as Elizabeth. In French and German the "s" is pronounced like "z".

It is, more or less e-lee-zah-bet to me. Elise is also e-leez to me.
I usually pronounce Elisabeth just like Elizabeth. I like the "s" though because it looks a little softer.
I'm not sure what you are looking for in combos, but here are a few suggestions:
Elisabeth Ruby
Elisabeth Keira
Elisabeth Scarlett
Elisabeth Shannon
Elisabeth Rebecca
Elisabeth Morgan
Elisabeth Caroline
Elisabeth Carys
Elisabeth Roisin
Elisabeth Zoe
Elisabeth Cora
Elisabeth Julia

Cora has a special place in my heart. That would be a nice combo.
I do prn them differently. Elisabeth I don't mind; I don't care for Elizabeth at all. I know a lot of people love it, but it just doesn't do anything for me. And really, I'd almost just prefer the simple Elise to Elisabeth. Just me.
