Maybe she named her children after TV Characters?
Blossom from the TV show, Elwood being one of the two Blues Brothers, and Darren the husband on Bewitched?
She may be hoping to have them exhibit the same qualities as well,
shallow hat wearing, car stealing musical joi de vive, and having no backbone!
