[Facts] Medieval French Diminutives
Lists of choirboys in French cathedral records of the 15th century give just their first names in diminutives, e.g. Malynet [= Malin], Pieret [= Pierre] etc., one that I cannot trace to its "grown up" form is Hanotin, any suggestions?
Is there any good book on medieval first names and diminutives?

Hanotin is a diminutive of Jean (John) that was used in Picardy.

Hanot? I've seen it used as a surname, I don't know if it could have been a first name.
