Greta, with one 't', is lovely and timelessly elegant - one of my favourites. Gretta the way you suggested looks wrong to me, I'm afraid, and harsher looking than the original spelling. Not half as pretty.

I adore Greta and find it very charming and underused, but your spelling of it is superfluous and unattractive imo.
