[Opinions] how to pronounce?
Character in my book named Rossamund, with an Umlat over the U.
How would that be pronounced correctly?

ROH-sah-muynt (uy as in French 'rue')

It is hard to explain without you actually hearing it. The u with the umlaut has no English equivalent. Rahss - ah - meund would be the best way I can think of. The eu in that case would be like oo but a slightly softer sound.

Ross (like Ross in friends :) ) Ah ( as in Ah-ha!) And the unlaut creates and sort of oo sound. So almost as if you ar mooing like a cow then just add the 'nd'

If you but an umlat over the U the sound would almost be like a y-sound. I'm not sure though if the English really has the y-sound that an umlat creates. It's close to the y in story but it's more dragged out and the sound is further back in the mouth.
I don't really know how else to explain it. I hope it gives you some help. (Maybe you should ask a German or Turkish speaking person to explain it.)
