Help[Surname] Name Chemerys
Hey folks,
my family is from the Western Ukraine. And I wonder where did my surname come from since it isn't a typical ukranian surname. Sounds more greek or so. Does anybody know anything about this surname and/or has anybody the same surname or a variation of it? For example Chemeres or Chemeris or as we have now in Germany Tschemeris?

This name is also found in Poland as Czemerys, no explanation found.
