[Opinions] Re: BA's From Sweden

That's really interesting.
Do you know why Molly is so popular? It never struck me as a name the Swedes would be into.
Wilma is strange to me to see too, because here it's a very dated name you only find in my grandmother's generation.
Also Tindra - what does it mean? I always liked it from the candles in Ikea! (yes I know Ikea and Abba is all I know of Swedish culture) but I assumed it just meant candle or something un-namey.
I love -
Freja
Ingrid
Emilia
Isabella Cecilia
Linnea (but obviously getting very popular)
Maja Linnea (not so much the Carina)
Hedda Viola
Viggo (ok slightly influenced by Viggo Mortensen!)
Theodor
Emil
Eskil
Tristan
Frode (I love the meaning too)
Douglas
Edwin
Oskar

Wilma was the most popular name in 2007 (in 2006 it was on place 7)
I don't really know why Molly is so popular. Suddenly everybody named their daughters Molly (rank 30 now). I guess it's because of the sound...it sounds really girly.
About Ikea..all their products is actually names. Oh well..not all products maybe, but most of them. Tindra is the swedish word for sparkle/twinkle.
Linnea is ranked 8 here in Sweden and 2006 it was ranked 6 (same as 2005 and 2004) so it's actually losing popularity. But we will see alot of Wilma's and Ella's in the BA's this year..
