A few favorites . . .
Girls named Chevy . . . Am I the only one reminded of the Ramona book where Ramona names her doll Chevrolet after her aunt's car because she thought it was a beautiful name? Ramona the Pest, I believe? And then a few books later (Ramona Quimby, Age 8?) even she has the sense you don't name someone after a car.
Ragin Dreamz? Forgotten dreams . . . let's depress the children with their names.
Praise Powers and Bad Sense Kills.
Boys named Boston and Journey. Is it any coincidence that they are both bands?

yes!
Long live Ramona! Also, in "Beezus and Ramona" she had a doll named Bendix, after the washing machine. She was playing Hansel and Gretel and Bendix came to an untimely end in the oven, also resulting in the ruin of Beezus's birthday cake.

I forgot about that!
Even fictional 6-year-old have as much sense as some parents these days.
God, that's depressing.
OT: Love Ramona! I've read all the books 3 times.
