[Opinions] Re: Emeric
in reply to a message by Bear
I like Emeric alright, probably because it sounds pretty close to one of my top favourites (Emrys). Interestingly enough, one of the only babies born recently to someone I actually know was called Emmerich. Anyway, I was pleased to hear it used and I could not then, nor can I now, think of any reason not to use it. I prefer Emeric over the other options you've listed only because it looks cleanest to the eye. I've been pairing Emrys with Nathaniel or Nathaniel Hugh lately and I think both options also sound nice with Emeric. Some other choices are Alexander, Alasdiar, William or just Hugh.

I adore Emrys too. :-)Good to know there's a little Emmerich somewhere out there. I agree that the Emeric spelling *looks* cleaner to the eye. Emeric Alexander, Emeric Alasdair and Emeric Hugh are wonderful. Thanks!
