I love it, but I don't think I could use it on a real person.

Odette is nice name. But I prefer a version Odetta

Odette is a lovely name. O names are so rare where I live. You see a lot of Olivia's, but that's it.

I love Odette!

This has always been my "pet peeve" name. It's the one name I've always hated, and most people usually like. Eh. It sounds too much like odor for me, and the -ette ending is too forever-little-girly and frilly. I don't like the way it looks when it's spelled, or the way it sounds when it's said.Like someone else said, it's theoretically pretty, but I really, really, really don't like Odette. Sorry!

I LOVE this name

I think Odette is a great name. It's very pretty, but not popular, and I can imagine it on a baby, for a teenager and for an adult.

It's okay. Maybe as a mn.

It makes a nice change from all the Mackenzies and Madisons. It was the name of a famous Second World War heroine, and so has good associations. I would like to see a fairly soft-sounding name combined with it, as contrast.

I don't like it much. It just sounds too old and dated to my ears, I suppose. Maggie and Betty sound "old" to me, as well, and they're high on my list... but Odette seems to be lumped with Opal, Edith, and Myrtle and Mabel in my book - just too dated.

Odette is theoretically pretty, but it isn't pleasant to say aloud.
