Tavie has long been my favorite nickname for Octavia (which I love), followed by Tavia. There really aren't any others that I like for it.
All other nickname suggestions that come to mind for it have already been mentioned by others.
Mimi would be cute as an occasional nickname for Minerva Maria, but I really dislike Bobby for Rudolf... I just dislike Bobby in general, though.
Caddy for Cordelia, guys? Approve or not? Not. ;)

Bobby has grown on me a LOT lately. I guess it's because of Twin Peaks, which is weird because that is one frightening character. But it seems sensible and friendly and pleasant without being ridiculous. There is also a really great violinist Robert McDuffie called Bobby (perhaps Bobbie...?) who is REALLY incredible and REALLY nice and has very much heightened the appeal of Bobby for me. It definitely doesn't work for Rudolf though! I suppose I will try to sell it to my sister, who is planning on using Robert.
Poor Caddy! No one likes her! I like Caddy a lot after reading Sound and the Fury. I hated it at first but it grew on me a lot. I also like Maury a lot on its own as a GP, but non-GP as a nickname for Maurice. Or possibly a feminine form of Maurice!
