[Opinions] Grim
I saw this name in a BA. I've only heard it once or twice before but I really like the old, mythological feeling. I submitted the name after some research:
http://www.behindthename.com/submit/view.php?name=grimI know that it's probably a pretty bad name in English (the grim reaper etc) but I would still like to know what you think of Grim?

I actually kind of like it. It reminds me of John Grimm from the DOOM games and movie.

My first thought was Grimm's Fairy Tales. My second thought was John Grimm from Doom. I know a lot of people consider those negative/dark connotations, but I think it's kind of neat. I'm on the fence about this name. I know that's not much help.

Grim: brothers Grimm, grim repear, the word grim...everything about it is just so negative / gloomy / dark. Even the fairy tales, originally, were spooky. I wouldn't want a name so steeped in negative connotations. I'd rather be an Ayden. (Can't believe I'm saying that)edited: for clarity.

It does have a mythological feeling. I do thin of the grim reaper and stuff, but it also reminds me of the brothers Grimm.

The Grim from Harry Potter is what I think of [m]plus Grim Reaper, Brothers Grimm and Grim as in sadness.

My first thought is always the Brother's Grimm, which makes me love the name. I like Grimshaw NN Grim.

I think its kinda cute, and it might be possible to eventually shed the reaper association once you know a living breathing child with that name. It does sound mythological.

I think of the Grim Reaper whenever I hear it so I say that it would be a bad name for a child.

Aw... I hate associations. Grim would be the coolest name if it wasn't such a... grim word. Well, it would be the coolest after Octavius, that is. :-PJen

Love it! :-D

It would be a good name anywhere else but in Denmark, because Grim is our word for "ugly". So here it would be "poor child", if meeting someone by that name.

I really can't see it... before I thought about Grim reaper I just thought of the word Grim and its not really a nice one.... I just wouldn't want to be called it.
