Help[Opinions] question about name pronunciation
Is Madeleine pronounced mad-a-LAYN? I don't care for the pronunciation MAD-a-lyn, but I love mad-a-LAYN.

Madeline and Madelyn
I think they are pronounced the same "MA-de-lin". I know I pronounce them the same. I see Madelyn as an Americanized form of Madeline/, which is an English form of Madeleine.

Practically all people I know pronounce it Mah-duh-line (I live in England)
I thought the mah-duh-lin pronouciation was a USA thing but maybe I'm wrong .. I just don't see how line can be pronounced lin? :)

I pronounce Madeleine as Muh-de-LENN, the way I think the French do. Or Muh-de-LAIN. The "AI" as the "AI" in Claire.

No, I've never heard of it being pronounced that way (click the link for the various pronunciations).
If you're desperate for that pronunciation you can use Madelaine.
