[Opinions] Re: Celtic / Medieval name for a girl
I think you mean, "what an exciting culture they had". The Celtic culture is a past culture; it has descendant cultures, such as Irish, Scottish and Breton, but it no longer exists in and of itself. While the term 'Celt' can be used to describe an individual from one of these cultures, it is not an appropriate sole term for the cultures themselves.'Mediaeval' is also something entirely different to 'Celtic'. The Celts were a cultural group; 'mediaeval' is a period of time, and it is not the same period of time as that in which the Celts flourished, either - the mediaeval period came later. Now that today's Lesson In Looking Stuff Up First is over, here's a search of various names that have survived in mythology and history from the times of the Celts to today:http://www.behindthename.com/php/search.php?terms=Celtic&meaning=yes&description=yes&gender=both&operator=or
