Any thoughts on this name? It's unusual, but I think it's nice.

Michal is beautiful and interesting name. We pronounce "mee-khal". It kh is like German ch. Like Bach.

My friend is named Michal. I don't like it very much, though - it doesn't sound feminine or pretty at all. To be honest, I find it masculine and dull.

I love it in theory, but in an English-speaking country it would be read as a tryndeigh Michael. And it would constantly be mispronounced, too.

Like the girl from Wristcutters? I think hers is spelled Mikal. It's not egregious but it's NMSAA.

Is it pronounced like MEE-shawl? If it is, I love it. It's it's anything like Mitchell or Michael I'm really not for it.

No, it isn't the same name. I think it's also pronounced differently.
