It just doesn't sound right to me. It's like this: I get hangnails ALL THE TIME, and then I sit there and feel the roughness of them. They are incredibly annoying, because they are just sitting there extra and not being smooth, and yet I am fascinated to feel them with the sensitive pads of my fingers. That's what Tristram is like - very interesting to say, but very awkward and just not right.
