I had a cousin that died at 15 of systic fibrosis, so the name is very close to my heart. She was a tow-head with porcelain skin, and extremely sweet. Her parents named her Holly because she was born on Christmas Day.
I also have a cousin-in-law named Holly that is very sweet and soft-spoken. I adore her.
There are the only 2 Holly's I have ever known... and they have made this name extremely sweet in my mind.
Am not too keen on Louise, especially since Holly sounds like L is basically at the end of it (even though it is ee)... it's just too close IMO... L heavy, like you said.
Since this name is rather short, I would pair it with something longer and with an A at he end of it (don't know why, just like that combp with a fn that has an "ee" sound at the end of it)... like Holly Katrina, or Holly Patricia... something like that.
