When a friend of mine was pregnant two years ago, she mentioned that her husband liked Ginger for a girl. She hated it. She said that she thought it sounded tacky and stripperish. I have to say that I agree with her. They had a boy anyway.

Did Ginger not start out as a nickname for Virginia? I think it did. I really dislike Virginia, Ginger, and Ginny. Ginny is the worst. Yuk.
