[Opinions] Emerald
WDYT of the name Emerald for a girl? What about the combos Emerald Beatrix and Emerald Joy? I'd love to hear your opinions and middle name suggestions!

Emerald is quite sweet for a little girl and I could see it on an adult too. I do prefer it for a mn to a fn though. Emerald Beatrix is cute.

I like it in theory I guess. Emmy would be a cute nickname for it. Emerald Joy is lovely.

I dislike Emerald. It's along the same lines as Diamond, Crystal or Amber, sort of cheap and a bit trashy.Beatrix (Beatrice) and Joy are nice enough.
Beatrix Emerald, maybe?

agree partlyIt sounds a little trashy to me, though not as bad as Diamond. It would be better as a mn, though the nn Emmy is cute.

I've only ever heard of Emerald as a man's name, but the nickname Emmy might work for a girl.

Really? Where are you from? I've never heard of a man called Emerald.

I'm from the U.S.
It must have been a man's name a while ago because the man is old enough to be my great-grandfather.

I like the name Emerald. It is much prettier and less common than Crystal. It also reminds me the city I was born in since it is called the Emerald city.
I don't like the name Beatrix but it does sound beautiful with Emerald

Aw. Emerald is my birthstone and I live in the Emerald City (Seattle). I've always loved Emerald as a name. Emerald Beatrix is darling. I wouldn't use Joy as a mn, it sounds greedy somehow, like Sapphire Glee. Emerald Anne is my favorite. Others:Emerald Mairead

Emerald is pretty and I think with the popular Em- beginning (Emma, Emily) it would fit in. However I'd much rather see it as a middle name.Emerald Joy - two words next to eachother is not a good idea.Emerald Beatrix is fine.Emerald Julia
