Okay, so I have a ton of names that I adore, but the nicknames for which are HORRIBLE! (imo) I've heard some really creative nns from this group... can anybody help me out?
BOYS
Love Timothy, hate Timmy / Tim
LOVE Peregrin, not Perry
' James, not Jim / Jimmy
' Donovan, not Don or Van
' Lewis, not Lew
' Gregory, eh on Greg (Rory is good)
' Martin, not Marty
' Lewis, not Lew
' Peter, not Pete
' Patrick, never Rick or Pat (Paddy is marginally okay, just 'cause it's SO Irish)
' Gabriel, not Gabe or Gabby
' Stuart, not Stu
' Stephen, not Steve
GIRLS
Like Tamsin, loathe Tammy
' Fiona, never (ever ever) Fifi (I know a Fiona / Fifi... brrr)
' Rachel, but Raich / Rache is weird (and unspellable)
Can't think of any other girls right now... I think some of these just wouldn't have nicknames, or go by their mn's as nn's, or have some trait as a nickname... help me out if you want to show off your creativity!
