[Opinions] US Celeb baby names
I love VH1, and they ran a show called "Awesomely Wacky Celebrity Baby Names" Having seen all the celeb listings recently, I wanted to join in the fun.

Ah, celebrity baby names...they never cease to amaze me.
Some of them are cool in their wackiness, like Moxie CrimeFighter or Sonnet Noel Whitaker. Others are just plain cruel, like Audio Science or Kyd Duchovny. Speaking of Kyd, what the heck is up with that? His sister gets a perfectly good name, but he is designated as Kyd for the rest of his life? Reminds me of the discarded orphan in the Charlie Chaplin film, and that's not a good image to have.
As far as the Willis kids are concerned, I confess to rather liking Scout. You have to have just the right surname to pull it off, but it *can* work. The only problem is, the character of Scout was a notorious tomboy, and if the kid grows up to be a girlie-girl, it might be a little strange. Rumer is horrible, and Tallulah is...okay. Kind of sounds like an airhead, though.
The name True actually sounds kind of cool to me, but again, the right surname is everything. True Whitaker works, but if the name were, say, True Prokrewzinski, or something like that, it wouldn't sound cool anymore. Just my two cents.

Some weird names I can appreciate. For example, I don't think Coco is that bad, although I prefer it as a nickname for Cosima or some similar name.
While I don't like word names, Sonnet is really pretty although nothing I would use personally. And because of that show "True Calling," which I liked and miss, I am used to hearing True, and find it different but not terribly bizarre. Still, True is not something I would use either.
Madelaine doesn't seem all that odd, but too bad her brother (or sister?) is Kyd, which is terrible. Kyd looks like nothing more than a kre8tive spelling for Kid. It's like naming your dog, Dawg.
And I was on another name blog where people were praising Scout, but I was personally floored, because I just think it is a travesty on a girl. I could live with it on a boy. However, I find it more suitable as a boy’s nick name or for a pet. Ok, I just looked it up here, and I guess it is a feminine name, but I still find it ugly.
Rumor has such a negative connotation to me. Word names are bad enough, but a word name about a word that I find personally spiteful, just doesn’t make any sense at all to me.
But the absolute worst are Jermajastey, and Tu Morrow - how can people do this to their kids?
I swear when celebrities name their babies it is more about them, and how cool and hip the names make them the celebrity parents look, than it is about the kids.

No offense. Personally, I don't really care about celeb baby names.
... the whole board doesn't have to cater to your personal tastes ...
?!?!?!?!? do not reply!
I do not care much about them either, but - no one posts on your topics saying "No offense, personally I am bored stiff of Jonathan. nt" with the implication that they want you to stop.

nt.
I think Rebel and Rocket are pretty cool, but I wouldn't use them. Sonnet is pretty, though generally NMS. The rest are blech! And I actually believe that Pilot Inspector is spelled Pilot Inspektor, not that it makes things any better.
I think so, but wasn't sure. Its terrible either way, especially for a comedian to make his kids name a joke.
