[Opinions] Re: US Celeb baby names
Some weird names I can appreciate. For example, I don't think Coco is that bad, although I prefer it as a nickname for Cosima or some similar name. While I don't like word names, Sonnet is really pretty although nothing I would use personally. And because of that show "True Calling," which I liked and miss, I am used to hearing True, and find it different but not terribly bizarre. Still, True is not something I would use either. Madelaine doesn't seem all that odd, but too bad her brother (or sister?) is Kyd, which is terrible. Kyd looks like nothing more than a kre8tive spelling for Kid. It's like naming your dog, Dawg. And I was on another name blog where people were praising Scout, but I was personally floored, because I just think it is a travesty on a girl. I could live with it on a boy. However, I find it more suitable as a boy’s nick name or for a pet. Ok, I just looked it up here, and I guess it is a feminine name, but I still find it ugly.

Rumor has such a negative connotation to me. Word names are bad enough, but a word name about a word that I find personally spiteful, just doesn’t make any sense at all to me.But the absolute worst are Jermajastey, and Tu Morrow - how can people do this to their kids?I swear when celebrities name their babies it is more about them, and how cool and hip the names make them the celebrity parents look, than it is about the kids.
