[Opinions] Vespasian
What do you think? Is it weird? How would you picture a guy named Vespasian?

The issue I have with this name is that in my own language Vespasian means "toilet", as you can see at the end of the wikipedia entry:

LOL. Oh.That is too badTalia: I really dig Vespasian. I used to think it was a bit easy, but I really like the meaning, look, sound, and feel of it. I stick it into a lot of my combos lately. It's a bit weird but I like weird names so I guess my opinion on that isn't helpfulUmmmm it is hard to picture a guy named Vespasian. And thinking about that: it would be bad on a short, plump, glasses-wearing fellow. Wouldn't it be embarrassing to be ugly and be named something epic like Vespasian?

OhI didn't know this, thanks for the info. I've just found out that except Italian vespasienne in French and vespasiana in Spanish both mean ''pay toilet''... :D

I like it, but I think it works better as a mn.
I also love Vesper (for a girl).

I would picture a guy named Vespasian as an elfin warrior, high on his steed, with a bow and arrow in his hands, ready to strike a troll who has come to steal the Precious.Sorry, but the name is a little *too* dramatic for me.

Honestly, it makes me think of a rather timid, mouse-y man. I think this is probably because I once had a mouse named Vespasian and with it being *such* an uncommon name, that's the only reference point my brain has to go to. Hmm. I think it's interesting, but not as usable as, say, Titus, Gaius, etc.

It is cool, but it makes me think of the world "thespian" which in turn makes me think of the word "lesbian." Not that the two are related or that I think negatively upon either, because I really don't mind. It's just an odd connection to make.

I think it's a cool name, but it would be way over the top if used in real life. It makes me think of a vampire.

Yes, I find it weird. If I'm pronouncing it correctly then it would rhyme with gestation (which isn't very appealing).
